| Here at DC Arts Studio, I am offering some exciting new workshops in Solar Etching. These are residential workshops at my century old adobe home in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. My village, Chamisal, is one of the original villages of the Spanish land grants along the High Road to Taos, and still holds all the charms of days gone by.

"Raven Dreams" Solar Etching

Above is a photo of my non-toxic studio, with folks eagerly learning about solar etching. During this "green" artmaking process, sun and water are the tools that transfer a black and white image to a photosensitive etching plate. The first day of the workshop is spent making a plate or two and printing from the plates. On the second day we travel to one of the many attractions of the area; archeologiclal sites, Native ceremonials, and natural formations. Please go to the "Links" page and click on "My Blog" to find complete info about dates, registration and other details of a New Mexico art adventure you won't want to miss.
